Setting up of Good Shepherd Convent, an English school, as requested by the government, to educate girls whose education was affected by the war. Origin of school name- Marymount Convent School (MCS). Prayed for land at Thomson Road and obtained approval, in the month of Mary (end August), after months of prayer. |

Decision was made to phase out the Secondary Section of MCS (1992) Closing of the Secondary School (1995) School embarked on a Rebuilding programme (1996) New building and premises declared opened (2001) School embarked on PERI upgrading (2015) School celebrates 60th Anniversary in the newly upgraded premises with three new blocks added (2017) |
