Co-Curricular Programme

CCAs are an integral part of our students’ holistic education. Through CCA, students discover their interests and talents while developing values and competencies that will prepare them for a rapidly changing world. CCA also promotes friendships among students from diverse backgrounds as they learn, play and grow together. Participation in CCA fosters social integration and deepens students’ sense of belonging, commitment and sense of responsibility to school, community and nation.

  1. CCA is optional for all pupils
  2.  Pupils in the school sports teams must participate in the CCA for 2 years continuously.
  3.  Pupils in the Singapore Youth Festival groups such as Choir, Modern Dance, Chinese Dance and Art Elite Group must participate in the CCA for 2 years continuously.
  4. A pupil’s place in the CCA in a given year does not imply that she will automatically be in the same CCA the following year.  The pupil’s attendance, attitude, enthusiasm and performance during the CCA sessions are some of the factors that will be taken into consideration.  As there are limited places in each CCA, there will be a selection trial for CCAs with overwhelming response.
  5. Pupils who are not performing at a satisfactory level will be dropped from the CCA.
  6. No change in CCA is allowed throughout the year unless there is a valid reason, for instance, medical condition supported by valid documentation.
  7. Attendance at every CCA session is compulsory once pupils have accepted the letter of offer.  If the pupil is unfit and absent from the CCA, only medical certificates will be accepted.
  8. Pupils’ yearly participation in CCAs will be reflected in the School Cockpit System only if pupils attain at least 80% of the total attendance in the whole year.
  9. Pupils who have represented the school at the National School Games or Singapore Youth Festival must meet an average of 90% of CCA attendance for 2 years from Primary 5 to 6 in order for the school to write any referral letter for the child for the Direct School Admission (DSA) Exercise held at Primary 6.

Important Note:

The data for pupils who drop out of their CCA within the school year or are absent from CCA without valid reasons will be captured and reflected in their Holistic Report Card.

In addition, pupils who fall under one of the above categories will not be eligible for any referral letter or testimonial from school under any circumstances.
